Introduction

This is the first ever blog post on the site and I am honestly excited to blog about my love of baking, recipes, and even motherhood.

As many may not know, I am expecting my first child. Baby girl will be here in just a couple of weeks and I am truly excited and a bit nervous due to never experiencing labor. I know I am not the only one, but many women have experienced it and continue to grow their families (I think its amazing what our bodies can do and it shows how strong we truly are!). My pregnancy has been a good one (Thank God!), but I had to take a break from baking because I cannot stand for long and I honestly did not like the idea of being in a hot kitchen.

The purpose of me starting this blog is to connect with my followers and to keep myself occupied in this new chapter of my life. Being a mother will be a 24/7 job but I am happy to finally have gotten the opportunity in being a mother. I have waited and prayed for a long time. It has not been an easy journey until a friend told me to use a ovulation kit and I did some research and took CoQ10, folic acid, prenatal, and last but not least, be relaxed and not stress about not having a child. My husband planned a trip to Pigeon Forge to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. We were in a nice cabin and I honestly think that the hot tub helped me release the stress and clear my mind. I was in the military at the time and this trip away from work did me some good. For those trying, don’t give up. I also created a vision board for fertility and motherhood, try creating one. I felt so at peace creating it and I prayed over it as well.

Now that I am a veteran, I am able to dedicate my time to my family, my home-bakery, blog, and lets not forget school. I am currently attending college and working on my accounting degree. I have so much going on and it just feels like I am rambling about my life and fertility journey, but I am just connecting with my readers and showing that I am human. I will post recipes, tips, and even write about my journey as a mother. Everyone’s experience is different and I cannot wait to read about yours and maybe I can learn from my veteran mom’s.

I think I wrote enough for this first blog, but I’ll have recipes available soon.
