Cocoa Delight
I didn’t know what to call this delicious drink, so my husband named it “Cocoa Delight” and I think its perfect. Thank you mi amor!
Lets stay warm during this winter season by making some Cocoa Delight! You can add marshmallows, whipped cream (just like I love it!), or even change the flavor by adding some peppermint extract.
The first step is to read the recipe completely before beginning.
Ingredients:
100g (½ cup) of granulated or light brown sugar (can also use Sweet’N Low)
85g (¼ cup) unsweetened cocoa powder
A pinch of salt (⅛ tsp)
⅓ cup (2 ⅔ fluid ounces) of HOT water
4 cups (32 fluid ounces) of milk (it can be almond, oats, etc.)
2 tsp of pure vanilla extract (or utilize my favorite Nielsen-Massey Madagascar Bourbon Pure Vanilla Extract or any other extract flavors of your choice)
Steps:
Use a medium sized pot and mix cocoa, sugar, salt, and stir in hot water. Then place the pot over medium heat.
Cook and stir the ingredients until it boils. When it boils, continue to stir for 2 minutes.
Stir in milk as it heats (DO NOT BOIL!)
Remove the pot from the heat and add the extract flavor of your choice.
Tip: Use a whisk to stir.
