21 Day Challenge

It’s the fourth month of the year and I hope 2023 is treating everyone well so far. Our year started off rough due to the loss of my husband’s grandmother and we are happy she got the opportunity to see her first great-grand daughter in person. And this month is the third anniversary of my grandmother who passed away. If you have a loss, may they R.I.P.

I have been doing some thinking and I’m working on introducing some new recipes for my fellow gym lovers and those trying to get back in shape. Juicing is one way of having a healthy lifestyle, including smoothies, and shakes. And those who utilize Herbal Life, I will have recipes for them too because just recently I purchased some of their products just to try it and see how I feel. My husband and I are doing their 21 day challenge and we are following the meal plan made especially for us and we are following it to a T and we are also working out 5 to 6 times a week.

We have heard different things about Herbal Life (MLM, products don’t work, made no money, etc.) and people have their opinions on the company and have their own experiences (positive and negative) and we didn’t let it affect our decision. In the beginning, my husband was questioning the products and the person we were speaking to but he saw I was serious about changing my lifestyle and in hopes of keeping me motivated, we went for it. He is happy to see me stick to the meal plan and how I just flipped a switch overnight and we have been on a routine since day 1. We drink our teas in the morning, followed by our protein shake. We have a healthy snack after a couple of hours (2 hours to 3 hours after shake), work out (we clearly wash up after haha), then we go on to have our meal (we decided on lunch), and then we do another healthy snack later on and then a shake before 7pm. Being healthy is a lifestyle that you have to live, breath, and eat. Progress doesn’t happen overnight and measuring out your food and tracking every single thing you eat is going to help you achieve your goals even faster. What helps is the community we are in and how everyone holds themselves accountable, share different recipes, and just helping each other stay positive with affirmations.

I don’t get paid to write about companies and their products. I’m using the products myself with my husband and we love it so far. I was in the military and we worked out every single day, so I’m getting back to keeping my body moving. Some people who said that the products didn’t work are folks who were sitting on a couch, eating junk, and living a sedentary lifestyle. Never listen to people who sit around and expect their health to change. And I can write about JuicePlus+ another day, but they don’t have bad products. I’m more for the Tower Garden where you can grow your vegetables and fruits if you don’t have a backyard.

You can clearly see I’m deviating to a healthier lifestyle, but it does not mean that I will not post the “unhealthy” recipes. Everything I post is from scratch and anything made at home is healthier than purchasing it from the street. Just make sure to eat in portions (your body will adapt and it takes 21 days to 30 days to break a habit). We also purchased a new weight scale and can’t wait to see our weight drop and write a review about the scale itself.
